Help us to celebrate and support Natick High School seniors who plan to pursue careers in government or public service!

The Natick Democratic Town Committee has awarded JFK scholarships since the 1970s, and we are constantly impressed with the accomplishments and commitment of these students.

In school they have participated in or led committees such as the Key Club, Anti-Defamation League, Game Changers, Peer Advocates, Global Connections Club, and the Politics Club. They have held student leadership positions such as President or Vice President of their class or the Student Council, or been chosen for the Principal’s Advisory Class. They have also canvassed, participated in phone banks, been team leaders, and done other volunteer work for political campaigns, in addition to participating in town committees. One guided an initiative through Town Meeting, and two recent winners have even written books.

On top of all this, they’ve held jobs and participated in sports and music programs.

We’ve been proud to award these well-deserving students!
Although we don’t have a lot of data on their careers after high school, we do know that a 2015 winner, Ellen Dunlavey, received her BA in political science and a master’s in political administration at American
University, interned for Mass. Representative David Linsky, and in 2022 became a Presidential Management Fellow at the General Services Administration.

Clay Napurano, a 2020 winner, successfully led an initiative to ban plastic straws in Natick and in 2022 interned for Elizabeth Warren.
